Regular Installation:

1. Remove appropriate knockouts from the lid of the ant bait station (easier if poked out from the inside).  For small ants remove small round knockout/s.  For larger ants, German and nymph cockroaches, remove the rectangular knockout.  For larger cockroaches, leave the lid open or remove it.
   
   
2. Stick a square of double-sided tape to the smooth side of the mounting plate, peel off the cover then press firmly into position on/near ant trails or close to cockroach harbourages.
   Note: The double-sided tape requires a clean, dry surface with a temperature range 10° to 50° C.
   
   
3. Add an appropriate bait to the station.  Slide the station down onto the mounting plate until it is firm but not over tight.  Place a little extra bait on the lip of the lid and leading to the station.  Use sufficient bait according to it's label.
   
   
4. If required, lock the lid with a zip tie.

Alternative Installations:

The station may also be used free standing or placed in garden beds, mounted on walls and fences, zip tied to branches, pipes, etc.

If a permanent (non removable) installation is needed, don't use a mounting plate.  Simply apply an adhesive or silicone directly onto the station's grip slots and press into position.

Inspection and Cleaning:

Being transparent, visual inspection takes little more than a glance.

To remove the station from the mounting plate, pull it straight up.  If it has been jammed on too tightly then tap or lever it upwards to disengage the grip slots.

Replace bait regularly until feeding stops.

The stations can be cleaned by flushing with water, being careful to avoid runoff entering waterways of course.

To remove a mounting plate positioned with the double sided tape, split the tape by slicing it with fishing line or string between the wall and the mounting plate.  Scrape of the excess tape and remove residue with methylated spirits.  Rinse it with water before reuse.

Our stations are ant and cockroach bait holders, however, they do have other uses, for instance :

As a holder for deodorants such as Cussons Nilodor, useful when rodents have died and gone off inside photocopiers etc. If you're a commercial pest control operator, then you may be familiar with that.

Treat silverfish in cluttered wardrobes, cupboards, laundry sinks etc by adding napthalene flakes to EasyBait ant stations.  Remove all access holes and install out of chiildrens' reach.  As the napthalene flakes are safely in the station, there is no possibility of staining any fabrics.
